Transcultural and Historical Research in Psychotherapy

Project description
The research group is concerned with exploring human consciousness and unconscious in its social, cultural and historical context. It carries out research on the historical development of the psyche and psychotherapy from an ethnopsychoanalytic perspective.

In 2013, a group of students are accompanied to an excursion to Malawi by coordinators Dr. Korischek and Dr. Malamusi. There, they conduct field research about traditional and western psychological healing methods.
